Unplugged Performance claims that their modifications not only make the Cybertruck more reliable but also improve handling and stopping power, addressing some of the glaring criticisms associated with the original design.

In a media release, Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance’s Up.Fit Division, emphasized the commitment to enhancing officer safety and operational efficiency. Considering the price of electricity in Las Vegas is approximately $0.21 per kilowatt-hour, while gasoline costs hover around $3.78, the annual fuel savings can range between $8,800 and $12,000. The cumulative effect of these savings could lead to a notable reduction in departmental budgets.

Enhanced Longevity

One notable advantage that the Up.Fit Patrol Cybertruck boasts is its projected lifespan. Tesla offers an extensive 8-year/150,000-mile warranty on its battery and drivetrain, which stands in stark contrast to traditional police vehicles that often see retirement after around 100,000 miles, usually within five years of service. This increased longevity promises lower maintenance costs and fewer vehicles needing replacement, making the Cybertruck an attractive option for budget-conscious departments.
